S*T*A*R PUPPY: This puppy kindergarten class is open to dogs between the ages of 3 months and 1 year. Owners will be instructed on basic canine care including health, responsibility, feeding, exercise, and identification. Puppies will learn basic obedience commands such as sit, down, come, walking calmly on a lead and stay. They will also learn appropriate behavior when being handled, groomed, around other dogs and strange people. At the end of the six week course the instructor will administer the AKC STAR puppy examination. In order to complete the class all owners and puppies must complete the six week course with no absences. Equipment: A well fitting collar or harness, 6' leash, soft (easy to chew treats), water, water dish.  Limit: 10 dogs

Introduction to Rally Obedience Novice Level: Rally is a dog sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The team proceeds at their own pace through a course of designated stations (10-20 depending on the level). Each of these stations has a sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. Owners will be introduced to all Novice Rally signs, taught how to read and perform the sign and learn how to navigate a rally course.  Equipment: A well fitting collar or harness, a 6' leather/cloth/canvass leash, small soft easy to chew treats, water, water bowl and a way to dog safely when not on course (i.e. crate or exercise pen).  Limit 10 dogs.

for the barking, dos/don'ts, the latest research information and strategies to help you and your dog. 

Four Wednesdays - Jan. 25th through February 15th - 6 pm to 7 pm.  NO DOGS AT THE FIRST CLASS.

Fees: $60.00 per 6 week course. Full payment is due at registration. Cash and checks only please. No pre-registration. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to first class to register. Students must present proof of current vaccinations at time of registration.  NO PREREGISTRATION! All students must register the day of first class.
